Playing with time

I've been meaning to try out a timelapse for a while now, and finally got round to setting one up last night. This is the result - not award winning, but I've learnt a few things and have a few ideas to try out next time.
For this one, I set the camera to shutter priority (1/400s) at the slowest shutter speed I could get away with, hoping that as the sun dropped the camera would be able to open the aperture to compensate for the lost light. Shot on Sony A500, with a Cosina 19-35 f/3.5-4.5 (yes, another new lens - the last one I'll buy for a long time!).

I was tempted to try some star trails afterwards, but a low battery scuppered that idea! Maybe next time.
